Cathedral Caverns State Park, located in Grant's police jurisdiction and just minutes from town, has gained a national reputation as one of the best scenic attractions in Alabama and the South. It boasts one of the world's largest stalagmites, frozen waterfalls, flow stone walls, stalagmite forest and most improbable formation. A constant temperature of 57-60 degrees is enjoyed year around.
The Caverns is approximately 4,000 feet long with 8' wide concrete walkways that are wheelchair accessible. The park is open 7 days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children ages 6-12, ages 5 and under are free. Call 256.728.8193 for tour times.
